| Description: |
Provides support for users of personal computers throughout the company, by responding to associate calls and helpdesk requests to solve routine software, hardware and minor network problems. Assures technical issues are resolved within specified time periods by tracking problems and resolutions, and remaining in contact with user until issue is resolved. Interacts with supervisors and managers to determine requirements for new or modified software and hardware, and assists with PC and peripheral setups and installations. Interfaces with all departments in the event of a system failure. Performs basic security functions as required. Serves as liaison between business units and vendors regarding support, issues and/or updates.

| Qualifications: |
A two-year Associates Degree in Information Technology or related field is required. Must have a solid foundation of PC hardware, Microsoft Windows software and understanding of basic networking principles is required. |

A minimum of one-year experience in a networking environment is preferred, including experience with basic computer and network setup and configuration. Previous experience in the technical environment of a financial institution would be helpful. |

Proficiency with networking systems, personal computers and other technological equipment is necessary. Must possess the ability to analyze and resolve problems, set priorities and communicate effectively in writing and orally with associates and customers concerning technical issues. |

Vision, hearing, speech and dexterity are required. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds and have the ability to crawl in small areas when needed. | Description: |
Manages the internal auditing function for Uwharrie Capital Corp and all subsidiary companies, and administers the internal financial and compliance audit program assuring the Bank’s practices are in accordance with laws, regulations and compliance guidelines. Conducts or directs audit reviews to assess the various functions and controls for each company to assure assets are properly safeguarded, information is reported in a timely and reliable manner and that the appropriate subsidiary company’s practices follow applicable Federal and State regulations. Advises management and the Board of Directors of significant irregularities and recommends appropriate corrective actions. Works in conjunction with third parties and accountants in external financial groups who perform regulatory reviews of the Company’s operations. Stays abreast of and advises management as appropriate of changes and enhancement to banking guidelines and compliance requirements.

| Qualifications: |
A four-year degree in accounting or a related business field is the normal minimum requirement. Equivalent knowledge may be obtained from advanced on-the-job experience in various departments of a financial institution. Must have a thorough knowledge of financial and operational procedures and a complete understanding of regulations governing the banking industry, including fair lending legislation. Knowledge of related management information systems and audit reporting is required. |

A minimum of ten years experience in a regulatory agency, accounting firm or commercial bank is essential. Must have several years supervisory or management experience. Exposure to various banking departments such as operations, accounting, branch administration, credit administration or loan operations would be strongly preferred. |

Must be proficient in communication both orally and in writing with all levels of the staff including the Board of Directors. Strong objective analytical skills are essential. Must be a decision maker with the ability to manage a staff of analytical professionals. Calculator, PC and keyboard skills are required as is familiarity with audit-related software and computer programs. |

Physical Demands/Work Environment: Vision, hearing, speech, dexterity and visual concentration are required. In particular, vision abilities require close vision in working with an on-line computer terminal and the need to adjust focus from computer to paperwork. Must be bondable. A North Carolina driver’s license is required. |

Mental Demands: The ability to work under stressful conditions, utilizing learning, thinking and concentration skills is necessary. Must have the ability to interact with others and exercise self-control in a customer service and employee relations environment. Ability to apply logical or scientific thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions. Must have problem-solving skills combined with an ability to coordinate functions of assigned departments to react to events resulting from regulatory changes, or unexpected occurrences. Ability to work without direct supervision and to think and act independently within guidelines and limitations of authority. Must be able to manage many responsibilities simultaneously and accurately. |
